One of the great things about having a site on the Bombplates system right now is that it's still a very small system. We have a very small development team. This means that creating great-big new features isn't always feasible, but it does mean that we are very agile.
Is there some really clever feature you think your site needs? Let us know about it, and there is a distinct possibility it will be on your site within a few weeks. We're a small company with a small customer base; this means we can react to your feedback quickly and personally.
The thing is, this "functionality" won't last forever. Bombplates is already growing rapidly. As we get bigger, our ability to handle your input will slow. That's not to say that we'll start ignoring you as soon as we have enough users. Far from it! We want you to be psyched about your band's website, and bad customer service will never accomplish that! It's just that your ability to influence major changes to the platform will diminish with size.
We've still got a TON of features we want to add to the system. Your input helps us prioritize those. When we have thousands of bands, if one of them decides they want a specific e-mail service to be supported, for example, that will end up being a pretty low priority. However, if one of our current users asks for something, it will get bumped much farther up the queue.
The moral of the story is use the feedback/feature request system. It's really easy, and it will make your site even better! You can also look at the suggestions other people have made and vote as to whether that's something you want.
