Well that was... interesting.

For those of you who missed it, last night's show was an unusual one. They ended up juggling the bands around timing-wise a bit, which wasn't a big deal. A couple fans only caught the tail end of the bands they came to see, but it wasn't a game breaker.

The bands themselves did really well. Honestly, from the half a song of each band that I listened to before going to the show, I wasn't expecting much, but all the bands were a ton of fun!

It was especially fun to compare the drummers from the first two bands: Thriving Cult and Scarecrow. Thriving Cult's drummer played really energetic rhythms that drove the music, but he was obviously working too hard to focus on showmanship. Scarecrow's drummer on the other hand played far simpler parts, but he put a ton of energy into performing. Both did a great job though!

Right, so the interesting bit. Why was everything juggled around in the schedule, you ask? To make time for the "Air Sex" championships, brought to you by Fleshlight. (You know, something for the kids!) I'm not going to tell you the details of what this competition entailed; I'll leave it to your imagination. Needless to say it was fueled heavily by booze. Yeah... it was kind of weird, but I suppose that's the life you sign up for when you shoot for rockstardom!
