I haven't ever managed to figure out the whole "making money" side of music, so I work a day job to fund my music habit. It just so happens that my day job is lead developer for Bombplates (the site that built and hosts this one). This particular job includes several perks, the most notable of which is that I know which features Bombplates sites are going to be getting in the near future. I also know a lot of little tips and tricks for getting the most out of your site.
I also have a "blog" on my Bombplates site with no immediate source of content. It's never cool to have a content-free section on your website, so I figured I would use this platform to spread some of my secret knowledge. I'm going to start posting Bombplates pro-tips: undocumented or underused features that are available on any site on the Bombplates platform.
This week: it's the management page. This is The Big One. Log into your Bombplates site. The go to YOURSITE/manage. (In my case it's regdarandthefighters.com/manage). You are now at the management page. This is supposed to be a regular feature soon, but we've been trouble figuring out how to make it look pretty; right now, it's just a big, ugly wall of links. (Hey! I'm a developer, not a designer!)
The thing is that this wall of links references every feature that your site contains. Scroll through. You might find something awesome that you didn't know you could do. Some of these features haven't been announced yet because the design team hasn't made them pretty yet. (My goal is to make sure that are development team is awesome and keeps rolling out features whether or not design can keep up!)
